I was going out of work today, the carpark is near the city centre, very cramped, there is two huge pillars at the exit and it's impossible to see up the road, plus its about 3 meters from a t-junction.

So I edged out, there was several cars stopped waiting turn off the road, leaves little space for cars to go straight comfortably, 3 cars and a van passed by me, it looked clear and whilst I pulled out, this lunatic came out of no where and jammed on, beeping at me to get out of the way, I couldn't reverse as there was a car right behind me in the car park, the speeder was freaking out and I pulled onto the road as I had no other option, he continued to beep me as I drove off, he drove behind me and at the following junction decided to point out he was taking my reg.

Honestly, if he decides to contact the guards, what would the procedure to point out he was having a road rage day? They can hardly contact me on the word of someone else,? If thats the case people will be making god knows what up, I don't understand his point of taking my reg either.

I'd have taken his reg and reported the incident as you told it now to the Guards. I hate this type of crap people coming booting up see you for ages and keep beeping everybody makes mistakes.

To say that a car came out of nowhere indicates that you weren't observient enough. Still no reason for other driver to be an asshole though.
If the view is realy so bad, try opening the window and listening, with the radio off. If someone is driving fast enough that they have to jam on, you should be able to hear them.

Otherwise known as 'I saw him very late and got a bad fright'. I wouldn't stress over it, what's done is done. I would follow 2 stroke's advice in future, though..

I know it's reads as though I wasn't observant enough, but it's impossible to see further than 3 cars spacing up the road, between the huge (approx 7ft pillars), the curve in the road, it's a nightmare to get out of. The problem also is people rarely if ever let you out, .

I don't know his full reg, so not much pointing it out to the guards, what I was wondering is what is the point of him taking my reg, am I going to be defending myself against the guards is what im getting to?

Even if the junction lights are in your favour, you still get the odd nutter complaining because you've pulled out, especially if you want to turn off the adjoining road.

they will ask if he is willing to make a statement at which point he will realise it's not worth the hassle and nothing will happen

I agree but the noise is excessive, if it was something with a crazy exhaust then yes it woukd be blatant, but say an Audi, it's not exactly very loud, also I couldn't guarantee that he was doing more than 50, but for the spacing between the kerb and the other cars it was fast.

I know ive gotten really frustrated by other peoples actions, mostly idiotic people that think because the first lane on the motor way is clear it's a pass to overtake who ever they can.

But how would you defend yourself? It's one word against another? People can hardly be prosecuted by guards just because another member of the public without proof insists they were recklessly driving, I think anyway unless an accident occurred, or there is a high possibility if one happening there is no point in wasting their time.
