Anybody have details of companies that supply systems to fit either within or after a traditional septic tank to upgrade it to that of a treatment unit?
Not interested in Bord na Mona filter beds due to cost.

How about adding your basic reed bed system, you will need plenty of room though.

You arn't allowed reed beds in Mayo Tom, we at least not the last few times I tried discussing them with the powers that be in Sanitary Services and Enviornment.

Theres a fella in Ballyvarry that makes a treatment system the fits into a standard twin chamber septic tank, he may be able to retro fit them. Personally I dont like them as they have bits sticking out ideal to be broken with footballs etc but they are reasonably cheap I believe.
