BoI Visa Debit Issue

    I recently opened an account with BoI hoping that I would be able to get a Visa Debit card as in their terms and conditions now online it clearly states that a Visa Debit card is issued. I never asked in the branch but either way I got the pin letter some days later clearly stating about a Visa card and info about getting a replacement.

    Tired of the AIB laser card was happy enough with that then along comes the card and out pops a laser card. It seems to me that's kinda like false advertising are they allowed to do that? Just wondering when they will because AIB will be issuing them later this year and I'd rather not go with Ulster or Tsb.

    Anyone else get this?

    They were expecting to have Visa Debit launched by now. There is already a thread ongoing about this exact issue, so I'll close this one.
