...Could anyone tell me if the price for this Audi A3 looks right. It's 4450.

Looks about right. I would only offer 4k though;)

Thanks for that. Says 2 owners in the blurb, but 4 owners in the entered details bit, which is a bit odd.

Xenons and aircon on it are nice extras. Rare on A3s, although autos do seem to be of a higher spec.

Excuse my ignorance but what's a xenon? Sounds like a type of photocopier :P

It's a headlight type. Better quality light and an excellent feature to have.

Seems like crazy money to me for a 9 year old small hatchback.

To be honest OP, you can do way better than an A3, they have a nice interior granted, but they're the same car as a Skoda Octavia or a Seat Leon or a VW Golf - the only diffence (apart from the classier looking interior and exterior) is the badge on the bonnet!

To be fair, the first car you linked to has a good spec and a great engine, but you have to have an automatic, I'd look elsewhere. Four grand is mental money for a tarted up Skoda Octavia to be honest, especially one as undesirable as that car, the "large" engine and the automatic gearbox mean there won't be too many people looking for it, sadly. I would much prefer one of these to the average poverty spec Paddy spec 1.6 with no air con and no anything, but that's not what sells, so really the first car should be a lot cheaper than that.

Also, that A3 is nearly two generations old now, the current model came out in 2004 and there is a new one on the way in the next few months as well, so that's another reason the first car is way overpriced.

That's really helpful info. Thanks very much everyone.

Can anyone tell me why there's such a big price difference between these two cars, which look pretty much the same to me....

    Difference is about 2000 euro

Without seeing both in the flesh and judging their condition it's hard to tell. Also remember these are asking prices, the seller of the more expensive one could offer a larger discount than the other seller. In theory the €6k might be bought for €4,500/€5,000 with alot of haggling whereas the seller of the €4k one might not give any discount on it.

So you really need to compare condition, spec and bottom line prices of each car in order to decide which one is better value for money.
