Setting the time/date a Saorview TV

It is a Samsung 32D5000 and picks up Saorview without a need for a separate box. I am pleased with it but every time I switch it off (and back on) at the wall it asks me to (re)set the time. Is this just normal or is there a problem with the TV? I thought that this could be connected to the fact that I have been using the…

I thought that this could be connected to the fact that I have been using the TV in conjunction with the Triax ST-HD537 Combi -(its problems have a thread of their own) but I have tried disconnecting that box and am still being asked to reenter the time/date.

Maybe the Triax ST-HD537 Combi has somehow contaminated the TV so that the problem persists even after it has been disconnected and the TV switched off and on again?
