I filled my Nissan Micra there earlier today.
429 litres, all at just 99c per litre.

Unless it's a mistake (which should have been copped on to by now) I find this hard to believe. If it is intentional they must be making a loss on it. And a very big one.

That is some fuel tank you have in your Micra how long does a full tank last you ?

Generating some publicity I reckon. They were done a few months ago for inaccurate calibration of metres.

Is that what it was ? I was shooting along the quays this afternoon and then on the quays at the Civic offices the traffic came to a stop, I thought it was an accident as looking up the road I could see lots of cars trying to move into the left lane. I just turned off at the courts but if it continues it'll be a nightmare this evening.

I was dropping a colleague to Hueston then back to the office so have to face it again at 5, not looking forward to it.

or maybe they were making a joke with reference to the aforementioned inaccuracies with that petrol station's readings

If anyone can confirm that the deal is legit, that would be great

Police normally tell the station to stop creating traffic chaos or else they will charge you for provision of police to direct traffic

    Happened to me once.

Nice stunt though, i reckon they are swallowing the guts of a 15 grand lost to do it for a single day

Bit pointless as there is no loyalty in fuel purchases anymore, and doubly so when you have the reputation that place has had for years

It's closing down that's why the petrol was getting sold at that price.

After it just opened 2 weeks ago???!

I'll swing by that way in a few minutes :pac:

It has been closed down for ages, and I don't think it reopened since. I drive by every evening and I haven't noticed it open since anyway.

The guards went into the garage and asked for it to be stopped due to heavy traffic on the quays.

I'm all for cheap fuel but 99c?

If it is legit, I'd be worried about the damage it would be doing to my car.

If it's too good to be true, it usually is!

According to Dublin City FM the promotion has now ended but traffic is still heavy. I'd say that was fun trying to tell the next person in the queue they can't have their 99c petrol.

As I write this I am looking at the sign of the place:

    1.62 for unleaded
    1.54 for diesel

1.54 is still decent price compared to other stantions if they have move past the scandal of under measuring pump and doing it correctly..
