Start line will be about 50 mtrs towards the cafe from the 10k finish line and the finish line. Will be 32 mtrs past this again

So we run past the cafe on the left, do the loop and the finish line is about 80 odd metres from the 10k finish line?

That would make it an initial climb if memory serves, you have the fast drop down to the lake and the momentum from that should give a fast finish.

Well done Donadea AC on a very well organised event.

I really enjoyed the course (which I know very well in reverse from the 50K), and although the path is quite narrow I don't think there were any hold-ups.
A nice surface & a few 'sneaky' undulations around 4K which suited me perfectly, be interesting to see what the fast guys & gals thought of it.

Plenty of coffee, sambos & cakes added to the good atmosphere at finish area.

Definitely one for the calendar for 2013.

(I'm starting to like these evening races).

I'ld like to apologise in advance for low numbers of images and if truth be known - low(ish) quality. The woods and evening light played havoc. . . enough excuses. Go slower and I'll try focus better !!
    ;-)

I'd agree with all the positive comments above. Nice place for a run, friendly atmosphere and great spread afterwards.
Finished in 20.06.... close to breaking the barrier but no cigar!

Nice route, the hill at 2km was tough going but the downhills made up for it. Would have been surprised if the organisation/welcome/spread wasn't top notch, another success for Donadea AC.

Really enjoyed the event as a whole, no problems with anything. It was definitely a change running it in the opposite direction, discovering where all the 50k down hills turned into 5k up-hills. Enjoyed the last 2k where I felt comfortable and picked up the pace. No PB for me, but that's just me at the moment, not the course.

My only disappointment was that as I approached the registration, I could smell smoke and thought UM1 was after laying on a sneaky BBQ only to find it was the cafe's wood burner. :(
