PCI wireless network adapter troubleshooting

Hi Guys,

I just received my shipment from hardwareversand, everything seems to be great except that when i try to install the drivers for my logilink wl0066 wireless pci adapter from the supplied CD i get the message please insert logilink wl0066 wireless pci adapter.

Hopefully its an easy fix and i'm just being stupid and there isnt a problem with the motherboard (Z68 pro3 gen3) or the card

no replies needed, looks like the card cant be secured to the case with the thing still plugged in, i'll have to leave it unsecured i guess

I'm having an identical issue. What does the quoted sentence mean? I literally unscrew the card from the case and it will work? Surely not?

Did anyone find a fix for this? Or am I resigned to buying another card?

Wireless worked automatically when I installed windows (without installing the drivers that came on the cd with the wireless card) but it's really weak (2 out of 5 bars).

If I do install the drivers, I can't get a signal at all! Need to uninstall them to get it working again.

There's no drivers for the card on their website either (WL0066) http://www.logilink.eu/content/support/download.htm?seticlanguage=en

There's a green light on the card so it's definitely working so not sure where the problem lies.

I installed one of these in a friends pc. He gets a good signal at a reasonable distance from the router.
Are the aerials connected correctly to the card?

There's two aerials on the card, as far as I can see there's only one way to connect them?

My laptop is in the same room and gets full signal.

Deleted the windows drivers and I'm getting the same message when trying to install the disc "Please insert Wl0066 Wireless adapter, click yes to continue installation, click no to cancel" This thing is useless, and my system slows to a crawl when the "software" is running. avoid like the plague.
