High Intensity training, Herbert park Donnybrook

I just read the other thread on HIIT and i think it would be something that would greatly help me in my goal to lose a few pounds and get fitter.

Now motivation is key for me. I could do it on my own but I know I would lose faith after a few weeks. I go to the gym 4-5 eves a week but the treadmill is not ideal for this training and I want to take advantage of the long evenings.

So I was wondering if there was anyone out there interested in downloading a few HIIT running plans and hitting the park a few eves a week and motivate each other to getting fitter and lighter.

Hey, Frag, I'm not too far from there and would be willing to give this a go. I'm not exactly Linford Christie, though.

I'm only free Tuesdays and Fridays. I know that's kind of limiting, but unfortunately that's all I've got free at the minute.

No worries. Sure if your on for starting next tue eve?? I finish work at 5.30. Could realistically be there for 6.45 if that suits.

We can arrange closer to tue. May be more interested by then.

We tried to meet once about a year ago, but the weather was awful, and neither of us made it. I've since taken to HIIT sessions in the local park. It's definitely beneficial, and a good way to quickly bring down run times.

What drills do you have? A few of us are looking to meet up twice a week to do these.

and I have moved to London ha ha!

I did however do boot camp last summer in Dublin and the HIIT was great. I highly recommend it.

For running, I've been doing jog/run/sprints along the two sides of a football pitch and the diagonal, or shuttle runs if I don't have the space. I also do calisthenics circuits, but I'm not sure if they'd strictly be considered HIIT?
