Boots with Toe Protection

    Hi All

I recently had a nasty fracture of my toe next to my big toe. I am hoping to get back playing in the next couple of weeks but while the pain when walking/running is going it will still be pretty painful to get a belt on.

I have been looking online for boots offering toe protection. I saw boots like this before but can't seem to find anything now.

Anybody got any suggestions for boots which also offer toe protection? BTW I actually play Hurling rather than rugby but figured there is a better chance of finding suggestions in the Rugby forum.

    Any help is apreciated

    Cheers

    Here you go.
Basically search for "Hard toe". They are almost impossible to find in Ireland in retail shops tho.
You are probably better off going for low or mid-cut boots, as the higher the cut, the heavier it will be, but the low or mid cut boots should not be too heavy.

Also, be aware that rugby boots generally have bigger studs than soccer boots. Also, hard toe boots are for forwards, so you can remove two of the studs as you probably would not need the extra studs..

    Thanks for the reply...

I'll grab one of the low cut ones and see how it goes. As for the studs I will get ones which are screw in so I can replace the big metal ones with smaller studs
