Five of the players were sent off in the dressing room.

Gaelic season starts back this weekend and that post made me laugh! Happens in most gaa games I play in but never 5 men sent off!

I read about this on twitter, the way some people talked about it I thought there was people being killed, it's only really handbag stuff blowing way out of proportion

Whilst it is not ideal to see this carry on in football due to junior players watching, it was a whole lot of nothing. I didn't see one clean punch in there!

Video not working, copyright blah blah blah

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Everyone in League 2 would have hoped that Crawleys manager got a slap as well, vile individual and probably the most hated man in the lower leagues.

Crawley not the most popular team either, hopefully they will miss out on promotion.

Just curious, but why is he so hated by others? Seen it mentioned before.

Is it something got do with him being in trouble before, or am I way off?

He was in charge a Boston Utd and was involved in some very shady deals by all accounts

Boston made it to league 2, may even have got promoted to League 1, but they were found guilty of various offences and now ply their trade well below the Blue Square Prem.

Sure it usually happens and then again while the referee's back is turned dealing with the original incident. Amateurs by comparison...

Father Tod summed it up nicely but theres a couple of good articles here:

    http://www.twohundredpercent.net/?p=8698

    http://twofootedtackle.com/fa-cup/why-many-neutrals-wont-be-cheering-on-crawley-in-the-fa-cup/

If you have the misfortune to see him on the touchline you probably wouldn't even need to read that article to dislike him. If you saw him in a pub you would presume there was a fight of some sort coming.

Not a fan of Steve Evans at all. Wish John Mac would have clocked him one

That's because GAA is the toughest sport around for super duper hardmen, good honest salt of the earth hardmen.

As dooferoaks alluded to, he was convicted of tax evasion for his part in some very dodgy dealings at Boston a few years back (the original charges of fraud didn't quite stick). Crawley are completely refusing to give any information about their ownership structure and source of finances so there's a lot of suspicions as to how a club with attendences which would be poor at Conference level are able to sign the players that they sign and able to compete for promotion to League One.

The fact that all of this gets glossed over by BBC and Sky who seem to want to get the whole of the nation behind this wonderful story of the plucky little club fighting their way through the leagues greatly antagonises supporters of other Clubs at that level.

It's more than just that though. He's a pretty terrible loser and manages to get into arguments and bitch-fights with pretty much every Club, opposition manager and set of fans in the league. He's universally unpopular at that level and seems to relish it.

    Points deduction for this, please.
