    Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancement.
    Generally, if some one's got a ****box 1.3 Civic, lowers it and puts on a **** body kit, that's ricey as hell.

    Mod warning
    Lets keep it clean friendly and avoid racisim.

    Rice/Ricer refers to badly modified Japanese cars, over time it has become diluted and can mean anything japanese with wheels.

    Something that's embarressingly slow and Made to look fast. A 1.4 civic is a fantastic example.

    Only if it was in America, the term most commonly used for that kind of thing in Ireland is skanger mobile.

    :rolleyes: are you serious?? you dont have a clue, a real EK9 would be drooled over, Americans have a serious thing for real RHD jap cars ;)

    OP its basically a tacky modified japanese car, they tend to have cheap silly bodykits, vinyl stickers cheap ebay parts etc best to see it with pics tbh

    Heres Urban Dictionarys answer:
    usually 16-24 years old, that spend more money untastefully modding a car, than its even worth. e.g humongous aluminum/fiberglass spoiler, cheap, oversized fiberglass bodykit, "clear" rear lights, obnoxious exhaust and oversized exhaust tip, 500 sponsor decals/stickers of performance parts they dont even own, flame vinyls/paint, etc etc

    Yes totally, I can't imagine Americans getting too excited over a type r replica. And I'm surprised to see you defending replicas.
    :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: :pac:

    That urban dictionary description is exactly what a skanger mobile is in my mind.
    I have yet to hear the term ricer used in Ireland so I don't know why it's been used on this form when we have out own slang to describe the same thing.

    I'd never say skanger mobile. It's too long winded for my liking.

    Ricer or ****box depending on the mod's.
    Heap of 'felt is another one, for felters of course. :)

    Its a term from America, that refers to Japanese cars that have unnecessary modifications that do nothing to increase the power of the car and only make it look like it can go fast(bodykits, large Exhausts and huge Spoilers). The term have connotations to being cheap and rice because of the Japanese diet which in its self is a bit racist. It is commonly misunderstood and miss used by many to simply refer to any type of Japanese sports car which is just plain wrong.
