    Hey all,

Was wondering if anyone has a quick fix for this? I've heard rubbing alcohol works, but haven't any, and I'm up late so I'd like to try deal with this now.

Pretty much, seems a young child (i'd asume) seen a clean white panel to drawn on, and scribbled his illegible name on the exterior/paint.

Had this problem once before on a van when a local scumbag scribbled on it with marker, but that was easily enough fixed with some rubbing of Lynx and vodka with a sponge for a while (Lynx and vodka because I had seen them recommended through a google search at the time - i can't find the link again, though).

Want to try and get rid of this and went at it with the lynx/vodka approach to little success, so just looking for any other alternatives that anyone may be aware of?

    Cheers

    Thinners should do the job.

Some IPA, Meths or white spirit, maybe even petrol.

Was a bit restless last night so went at it with the vodka/lynx suggestion. That and a lot of tough rubbing seems to have done the job for the most part. Some of it's still visible, though.

I've heard petrol recommended so may try that (I know a guy that used to work doing Eircom's vans (that is stripping them down and re-doing their decals, etc.) and he reckons petrol is a move in the right direction for it (he used to use it to get rid of marks and dirt and such after the decals were taken off).

Worth a shot. If it doesn't work out, I'll come back to some of the above suggestions.

    Cheers gents.

This if you've got noting else ^^ I dont like using petrol or white spirits on a light fabric because can leave its own light but yellowish stain. There is a product you can get in any motor factors called "tar and glue" pour some into a spray bottle and spray directly onto the ink, leave for 2 mins, spray a little more then gently(and i mean gently) rub with a soft nail brush. All that said, you will need a hoover to suck the ink out for best results.
