Drug Use

Just want to hear other peoples thought's on the issue of drug use (both illegal and/or otherwise) by players within the game.

I have heard numerous stories of players taking substances and am pretty sure it is going on unreported. I don't really want to start naming names here though.

Drugs are bad m'kay.

So is speculation about who is using, who might be, what teams encourage use etc... First hint of allegations and thread closes with a ban for the poster.

Honestly I don't think that there is any problem with banned substances, have yet to see a player that is so big that it looks unattainable naturally. And likewise have yet to see a player that is so fast/strong that it looks unattainable. There is definitely some players that would be using banned substances but is it a major problem? No. At least I don't think so.

I was disappointed after the 2010 AIs when two springboks were caught with banned substances in their system.

I think the testing is fairly rigorous for it. I've seen a good many tweets from various players about getting surprise tests.

I doubt any drug use goes on. It'd be an immediate end to the contract and a couple of years of a ban. Stupid, stupid stuff.

It's the same any sport and it happens.

I'm sure there are cheats out there, but it's barely even a 1% minority.
