I've noticed a few 12 reg cars about like passats and hyundai jeeps. i always thought that you would but these from the main dealer so was a bit surprised to see some independent 'small' car dealers stickers on them. i presumed there'd be no difference in price? especially given that there's 3 years free servicing i wouldn't like to buy the passat locally and then expect frank hogans/tom harveys/pierses to service it free.

a few years back a man was telling my dad that he came across a merc with frank hogan in limerick, cant remember how much, but he got the local dealer to go in to buy it and it cost 4k less! makes no sense why the main dealer could reduce the price by at least 4k-yer man surely had a bit for himself-just to another guy thats in the trade.

First off, you'll still have the manufacturers warranty no matter where you buy it. Quite possibly it's a car imported or by other means than the manufacturers 'preferred' supply chain.

If the service contract is a manufacturer contract then it will be honored by all main dealers.

What you need to do is get clarification on how the service pack operates.

possibly a dealer with a contract for a company's fleet of cars. Dealers will source any marque in this scenario.
