Is 5pm the right time to see an airbus A380 over the south east?

Can't remember how or who but someone told me that an airbus A380 (maybe Lufthansa?) flies over the south east westbound around 5pm each day? Will be there at weekend and hopefully this weather spell hold so it will be clear for me to see?

    Is that right?
    TIA

Depends on the flight plan they have and yesterday the summer schedule started. They can fly to the north and to the south of Ireland. No assurances can be given,

If you check out flight aware each day you can see which route each airline has filed that day and see if it flies overhead close to your location. These seem to be the flights Lufthansa,Emirates and Air France. If you click on the flight it shows a blue line representing the planned route. I have only seen the Air France a380 usually around 3 over Clare.

Singapore Airlines' SQ26 is a daily service from Sin to JFK via FRA and it goes over Ireland around 08.30 on many mornings heading west across the Atlantic.

It is very punctual as I seem to spot it many mornings around 08.30 as I have breakfast with the laptop on the table in front of me. :o

flightradar24.com will allow you to see were each plane is going over Ireland, good to see it move and checking destination at same time

With the summer schedule now in place you may need to leave breakfast untill 09.30:D

To the OP. Do a google search on the North Atlantic Track System and read till your hearts desire. Tracks change daily for any myriad of reasons but mainly due to winds aloft, sig wx and jet streams. Volcanoes also have an impact. Some days the tracks will be all the way up over Scotland bypassing Ireland altogether. Others further South of Cork.

For some reason I always though their were 4 daily tracks rather than 5. Nice link there.

Better off getting a cheap day return to London and watch one circling the city, saw one flying quite low over Kennington and it was awesome. :)

Absolutely. You can often see them low over the city passing East-West enroute to LHR. Spotting at LHR would be even better.
Here's one I shot a few years ago as it flew over St.James' Park:

If only I had a good camera...

Im in Singapore at the moment and out by the east coast beach is one of the main paths into the airport. See around 3-4 A380's a day in a few hour period.

It goes over Belfast by the looks of your map. I was referring to the South East - see thread title :)

I just tried your suggestion for UAE201 and flight aware routes it over scotland but she's actually just leaving the welsh coast for wexford' so not always reliable it appears.

When I were a lad in a certain south coast boarding school now defunct, the study hall windows would rattle at about a certain time most days - if we had flightaware in those days we'd probably have been able to note a Concorde track due south :D

just checked, I had the correct one and I wish i had taken a screen shot because I still had the original tab open and after seeing your post I checked it and is now showing south coast route. i suppose the natrack could have been changed for the flight since it departs Dubai approx 8-9 hours before hitting the atlantic but flight aware got the update later.
