    I am currently doing a research project on stock sound effects focusing on the willhelm scream, I would like your opinions on the willhelm screams use or overuse in movies, games and television today. I would also be interested to hear any information any of you may have on the willhelm scream or any other popular stock sound effects, thanks very much in advance.:D:D:D:D

    I don't think it's seen as overused, since its use is a running in-joke among sound designers. It's not strictly necessary, and could easily be replaced if it didn't fit. A few people are actively listening for it, most people aren't. I'm honestly not bovvered.

    I give a little smile when I hear it and instantly forget. It's definately not something I actively look out for and I'm sure I have missed it countless times. Much like bnt it doesn't really bother me.
