Audi A4 TDi 100 or 130?

    hi, quick qusetion how can you tell what horsepower an '02 Audi A4 TDi is,
    as i am looking at one but owner claims it's 130 but when i checked the reg it comes up as a 100 bhp.

    The info gotten from the reg would usually be correct.

    However it is very easy to make 100% sure if you can get hold of the engine code. This is located on a sticker on top of the timing belt cover, on the tax book and also on the car's data sticker. There should be one copy of the data sticker on the inside cover of the service book and another one stuck to the boot floor somewhere around the spare wheel well area under the boot carpet.

    There are two 130bhp engine codes for a 2002 A4 1.9TDI, these are AVF (6 speed) and AWX (5 speed)

    The 100bhp engine code is AVB.
