Hey, so I got some Sennheiser PC350s second hand and the mic doesn't work. However if I tape the wire to the volume controls it does work, so it would be a loose wire yes?

Is there any easy way to wire this or should I just stick to the tape and a desktop mic when it eventually fails?

How competent are you at soldering and how devastated would you be if you destroyed them?

I can solder but have no soldering iron. :p

I suppose it's not worth taking the risk breaking a fairly dear thing to replace when a 2 euro mic works fine.
