I posted this is another forum and i was directed here.
I have heard multipple acendotal stories that there are tablet computers out there that are better than Ipads, cheaper with higher specs. Is that true? TBH i could bearly tell you the difference between an Ipad and an Iphone but the sister is looking to buy an Ipad and if there is something better out there she would go for it instead. I know Ipads have no USB which would be a turn off for me. Anyone? Any links to better items? I don't want this to be an anti-Apple thread, just honest advice please! smile.gif

Samsung Galaxy Note seems to be the best out there in my opinion.

+1 for Asus transformer prime. Only tablet currently running Android 4 and only one running a 4 core processor. Any of the current Samsungs I've tried have felt very slow.

The original Transformer and the Motorola Xoom both run Android 4.0, as do a few others.

Actually ICS has been released for the Archos G9s now. I installed 4.0.5 on mine yesterday.

I know it's an Android forum but the iPad is also a mighty fine easy to use device. I'd play with both and see which you prefer.
