Weak hedge

I have a very strong green beech hedge all around my site, but in the corners at the front of the site it is very weak. There is a ash tree there as well and the ash is taking the goodness from the soil, leaving the beech hedge weak.

Is there any way of giving that area extra fertiliser with out putting a load of dung around it again.

Some told me to get chicken manure pellets. Anyone ever used these.
