Centre lower grill robbed

In either Carrickmines or Dundrum (tesco park) had my lower centre grill robbed. Was 10 mins in woodies and approached car from the side when I returned so dunno if it was robbed there or Dundrum, but I'd have my suspicions.

Anyone else having similar experiences? Is there a lot of robbing going on?
I must see if there is a number to ring for Carrickmines.
    :(

The world is full of deception. Someone nicked the badge of the back of my car once.

Out of interest, what car is it?

03 Passat, not exactly a Ferrari but it's the same relative expense for me as for the Ferrari Driver! Also the pain in the hole now to take time from work and drive to main dealer, or an hour and a half to a scrappie if they are a lot cheaper.
Saw the right part on EBAY.ie but sure that's probably my own part up already ;-)
I may be a bit cynical this evening..........

Weird, I had a passat in the head when I saw this thread. Mate of mine had his taken too along with fogs.

The snag with Carrickmines is it is common to see people tinkering with cars in the car park opp woodies . Reason for this is Halfords Trinket store and you'll see lots of folk changing bulbs, bonnets up etc, so nobody IMO would have batted an eye lid seeing a grill being whipped of a car.

Hard luck op but I'd say C Mines is where this happened.

Yeah, I'd agree with the Cmines replies. I was parked directly opposite halfords (2 rows in) as I was on the mooch in there. Did check the front car on return from Halfords and it was fine and no scumbags around. I noticed when returning from woodies that there was a guy eyeballing the interior of an Audi coupe (top down) when I was returning to my car, he went out of his way to do it but as he was driving a Black Audi Q7, I don't think that's my man :-)

Had that happen to me before - I had nowhere to cook my sausages for a week.:(

Any reason it may have been loose and fallen off?

Those cobbles going in and out of Carrickmines would test any loose fixings on a car.

My Uncle has an E39 523i and came out of a hotel to find his foglights and lower grill had gone. Bastids took the wiring as far back as they could reach too!

A visitor in my area recently had their Passat passenger window broken and someone stole the entire dash surround. Between the window and the damage to the dash it came to around 750 euro. Costly visit:(

Guy I know who sells them had the window smashed on a newish Passat, and they just took the spare wheel and boot carpet.

I blame those Bluemotion models with no spare wheels.

I have had washer covers stolen and moulded mudflaps in the past. If only one could hook a power source up to the retaining screws...

I had the towing eye cover from my S60 nicked before. It was there on the Friday even I washed the car and drove to Galway, still there on the Saturday but disappeared when I was in Lidl on the Sunday afternoon! I was proper annoyed as there was no way it came off on it's own. Someone popped it out while I was away from the car. It is surprising what people will take..... apparently even valve caps are fair game!

What is Ireland coming to where even things that are nailed down are now fair game for scummers to thieve!
Off with their hands and an end to this liberal nanny state even creeps have 'rights' crap.
