New key for Ford focus?

I bought a 2003 ford focus today. Great car, very happy with it except there's a problem with the key. It starts the car and locks the doors fine but it won't open the doors. The head of the key it self looks very worn down so i'm guessing it's just not catching in the lock. I have a spare key which is designed to open the doors but not start the engine so now i have to have both keys together to open the door and start the car.
Where would i get a replacement key?? It's not a remote key by the way!

Also there seems to be a bulb gone on the dash, i can see the rev meter clearly but the speedometer is not illuminated at all. Is this easy enough to sort out?

The replacement key is no problem, Ford, Mr minute, etc...
But it needs to be programmed into the car and Ford charge an arm and a leg for that.
There is a way around, but you will need two other working keys for that...
Since the other key does not start the engine, I'll have to assume that is either without chip, or has a chip and isn't programmed yet.

the dash bulbs are very handy, the only tool you need is a philips head screwdriver. i had to change the bulbs behind me speedo and rev counter. you may aswell change them all while your in there, i found it make a nice difference.

even if you have no practical skills its only a ten or fifteen minute job.

Hi had same problem with my focus . Got a key cut and programmed in precision motors there in dunlaoghaire. It was alot cheaper than main dealer. So you don't have to go to a main dealer. Ring around and see if your local back street garage can do it.
