Looks like a joke of an outfit to be honest. Have you actually looked at the website? They are trying to flog a Laguna but have pics of a Focus saloon. Their 307 ad contains pictures of a Golf. I would run a mile.

Because they don't spend a fortune on easy to use carzone/ website or have a glass house showroom that warrants a customer to run a mile?

    Lol...

Think even the guys on the Naas Road would have a chuckle at this crowd!

Yes I'd definitely buy from a place that can't tell the difference between a Golf and a 207.....

Most garages don't actually work the websites themselves as they haven't the use of a program to put the cars up, so the work is passed onto a third party (who has little clue about cars) and things can get mixed up. That looks like a "trial" website more than anything.

infairness, it takes little common sense to realise someone who would run a Car dealership would be able to tell the difference between the two.

Fair enough, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt so, but they need to fix it sharpish, its going to turn away potential customers.

I forgot that they probably would outsource the website to some IT crowd...

No I couldn't care less about fancy showrooms or websites. It's not too much to expect an ad for a car to be reasonably accurate. From the website do you think it looks like a professional outfit?

ah feck it now, I had me eye on a car there, I'll give it a miss now.

I would not worry what the website is like if the car is the right price go and have a look I find it is more often a salesman wearing a nice suit and patent shoes is more likly to do you than a fellow in overalls who cannot use a computer

You'd think someone in the place woudl throw their eye on the website the odd time though. We're not talking the odd misplaced photos here, the whole set in the Laguna ad are of a Focus aswell as the 307 pics beign a Golf. Theres only 3 cars on the site so not like they slipped under the radar.

Sure we dont even know if its the pics that are wrong or the details. They might not have a Laguna or a 307 at all but actually have a Focus and a Golf,

and with that in mind I'll go up and bring a mechanic with me. What harm can come of it? (None I hope! :o)

If your mechanic will come with you and check out the car for free then absolutely no harm. If he is going to charge you for this service then maybe there are better places you can buy from...btw are you buying a focus or laguna or 307 or golf;)

Nice low mileage on that Laguna/Focus:rolleyes:

While I can understand that the place is run by 'car men' and could possibly have a third-party doing the site... I think it absolutely reeks of really poor professionalism that they could allow a site which is fundamentally representing them online have so many major problems.

They should have given it a once over beforehand if that's the case... it's not like there's a few pages or links that are incorrect here and there... the main images and adverts are completely wrong.

There are many scenarios where the people selling a product or service which has nothing to do with computers and have to hire a third party to do their website... but they don't end up like this.

Come on, you've said it yourself. They have only got three cars there, it's obviously a new website.

When set up as a Dealer on Cars ireland, Cars ireland themselves just copy your ads off your website and paste them over for you. That's what's went wrong there.

I thought it worked the other way around?

i say this to all the customers but they know better then me, this is clearly why most of their websites have not been updated propperly in 2-3 years; due to nobody ( not even me ) have the patience to work with them...

grease monkey attitude worked 20 years ago... not so much anymore...
