Hi guys, I'm nearly 40 years old and I'm currently unemployed. Started work as a taxi driver back in 2002 finished up in 2008 when I was offered a courier job with van and phone and fuel all paid for. I loved the job and the money was good too but unfortunately I was let go last year due to lack of work etc.
I've held on to my psv licence but I don't have a taxi. I was thinking of either renting a taxi or buying a cheap van to do some deliveries I.e man with van stuff.
I'm going crazy doing nothing all day. I know both businesses are bad but I am going to get back in to one of them but I'm at a dilema to which one.

    Any advice please folks?

Thanx hootanany. Well ive some contacts. Within the courier business working for the like of dpd and Dhl as sub contractors. They say there making in around 100per day depending on the amount of drops they do.
I've also some contacts within the taxi game some work nights some work days I would not be going back to mites not worth the stress. I would prob rent a radio with a cab firm and do the early bird shift.
The expense of renting a taxi is expensive especially with a radio on top would cost approx 400 depending of the amount of fuel I use per week.
Heads wrecked thinking about it all but I have a small family and need to work again.

But is that after they deduct the price of fuel?
