I just noticed that Halfords Pro tool set is on special offer again at €74.99, down from €149.99.

I've been using this set for about 2 years now and must say it's all quality gear. Everything feels well made, sturdy and built to last. (it's even got a lifetime warranty!)

Handy for the boot! Hopefully someone will find this useful. :)

There is a slightly bigger set for slightly more money, with ratchet spanners and other bits and bobs, better selection of spanners, more long sockets, impact sockets etc. def wirth the few quid more

These socket sets are spot on. mine have never broken despite dogs abuse.

Interesting. I've their ratchet drives amongst other stuff and they've been nice to use. The 3/8 drive recently broke after 12 years heavy use which isn't bad for a budget range.

I think he means this one.http://www.halfords.ie/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_11101_catalogId_15551_productId_173083_langId_-1_categoryId_212410 I got it a while back when it was on sale, great piece of kit especially when you consider the sale price.

I bought a socket set in Halfords years ago and i have to say they it is a quality set. Was sceptical at the time as it was a good deal, but i would buy tools there again.

I have halford set and its great, only problem i've had is the small rachet broke twice but was replaced no problem.

Are they 12pt sockets the same as the pic?
The set looks good but I don't get on with 12pt sockets.

That's the one, the price gap between the sets wasn't as much before (ie the cheaper one is even cheaper now)

There's another 15% off that if you have an AXA plus card too.

Jaysus, how much do the professional tools (teng, snap on etc) cost if halfords pro is budget ????
