The A4 changed models in 2001 so which shape you looking at? B5 older or B6 newer?

    Also what engine?

it is the newer shape, 1.9 tdi, hes quoting 130bhp, is there any way in verifying this, engine code?

The power output which is in kilowatts should be listed on a label either on the inside of the door or in the boot afaik. 130bhp should be 97kw. It should also be listed on the VLC.

You will know it's a 130bhp when you drive it! Drive a 100bhp and you'll notice the difference.

true, youl know the difference in bhp, but you wont know that way if it is a genuine 130 bhp. or a 90bhp thats been remapped by a back street abortionist thats gunna fry your ecu!

Think that shape only came in 100, 115 and 130

The 130 has stronger internals, so a proper 130 is indeed much better than a mapped 130.

inside the boot in the spare wheel well the label is on the sidewall (on the right on mine). engine code is fairly obvious on it. worth doing, when i went looking for a 1.8T A4 the first car i saw had advertised the wrong bhp.
