    Hi,
Was wondering if any of you could tell the best way to cycle from Clonsilla into town.I kinda imagined I could cycle to Castleknock and then through Phoenix Park.

    Any other ideas?

    Best,
    Jo

Clonsilla Road, Roselawn, over the bridge into Castleknock, Phoenix Park.

Yep, second that - straight forward enough run into town from there - do it daily from Capenterstown. Thinking of checking out the grand canal cycle lane into town, so might head down and out at chapelizod, then head up the south cirular to meet the cycle track at the canal at Davitt Road there.....

usually depends on the wind and traffic

from clonsilla, it could range from between 30 mins to 60 mins

Today is an awesome day for going through the park. It's warm, the colours are looking well. Just be careful on the cycling paths though. Lots of pedestrians (and MINI pedestrians ;)) are out today.

My route is Diswellstown road, then across the road at Castleknock College down Whites Road past Farmleigh and into the Park. Then straight up the quays. I'm heading to Dublin 4 so then I go Capel St bridge, Georges St, Stephens green and out. Sometimes I go out of the park at Island Bridge, to Kilmainham, up the Canal then all the way down to D.4. Time is about 45 in 50~60mins home. Don't do it daily, and I'm very unfit. So you'll probably be quicker. I prefer it when the traffic is heavy, as its slower and more predictable. Takes a while to find a route you like. Sometimes I go a longer way because its a nicer cycle.

I've a similar route to this 12.5 k to Windmill lane (all the way down the quays towards the IFSC) and it takes usually 30 to 35 mins depending on traffic in and about 40 to 45 mins or so back.
