E60 facelift model

Im looking at buying a 2007 520D.


I'm assuming that this is a facelift model. Is that reasonable?

I know that the 2008 model is, but I read that it was actually introduced in 2007.

Facelifted model introduced early 07. Revised engine & gearbox didn't get introduced until Sept 07.

Visual signs of facelifted model are chrome strip under front bumper, LED rear lights & revised dashboard & door cards (8 buttons below CD slot)

In BMW parlance the facelift model was known as the LCI model (Life Cycle Impulse)

Might prove useful when you are searching for the differences via google.

Thanks for the replies. Looking online, there seem to be a lot of 07 models that don't have the facelift features. Maybe old stock?

Facelift models can suffer from issues in comparison to pre facelift models the m47 engine in older model stronger than n47 in lci model although n47 is 177bhp as against 163 in m47 remap better on 163 this would negate power difference
