Pregnancy and teeth

    Hi

I'm pregnant at the moment and while I know all the advice is to go for a check up during pregnancy I physically can't: I have hyperemesis which is really really severe nausea and vomiting. Doc cant even check glands in my neck without causing me to gag etc so there is no way I can go. I have improved in the last two months but I was vomiting up to 20 times a day for the first 4 months: today it was only 5 biggrin.gif kinda average at this stage (just 25 weeks)

Obviously this means that when I was brushing my teeth I was nowhere near as thorough as I normally would be. And my gums bleed slightly now when I'm brushing... I know that can happen during pregnancy but I'm worried it's because of the bad brushing of teeth for the first few months. Just to put it into context: sipping water was enough to trigger vomiting so you can imagine what it was like to try either brush or floss!!

Anyway I have (hopefully!) 15 weeks left: any tips on how to keep my teeth as clean as possible? Brushing my teeth can be an ordeal for me flossing is next to impossible. Or has it happened that the bleeding will go away after? Any tips at all would be much appreciated smile.gif
