Wife was mad to get one for ages. I thought it would be rubbish to be honest but have to say I'm impressed. Must faster and cleaner than traditional method and dries fast too.

Picked mine up today and the sales woman, no spring chicken, pushed and pushed and pushed me to take out €15 2yr extra insurance.

I came very close to telling her where to go.........because she wasn't too young I just let it go.....

Heard an Argos sales girl ask a man did he want insurance for a tv wall bracket. And he just nodded his head and took it. Insurance for a wall bracket!!!
Felt sorry for him though. He was obviously never in an Argos before as he had no clue how the system worked. Not even sure he knew what she was asking when he got his wall bracket insurance. :(

Keep an eye on Amazon as the price could drop. I got one for £39.99 a couple of months ago. Its currently £49.99 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Vax-Floor-Master-Upright-Steam/dp/B004J3583I/ref=sr_1_1?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1333387014&sr=1-1 Can't say how well it works cause its still in the box:o In my defence I was very busy with college work the past few months!

Can this be used on laminate flooring?I've semi solid in sitting room but laminate in bedroom, would be afraid this steamer might damage laminate after a while?

Even high quality laminates such as quick step, balterio say no steam cleaning. The tongues holding the laminate together are the weak point as theres only 3-5mm of fibre board actually keeping things together.

Wife has been banging on about this mop for a while, but as people have said they seem to nearly always be sold out

Jusy bought it on amazon - 64.35 euro delivered - a few euro more than Harvey but still a good price - I'm off to tell her the good news....

They had a pile of em in harveys in blanch.
    I was afraid to buy!
I've got a few questions, can you use them on laminate wood?
    Carpets?
    Shower doors?
I seen that ad on tv with the x5 steam cleaner, is this the same idea?

Laminates is a no-no as they're not considered "sealed"

I have a Bionaire one that has a carpet glider and a smaller head for showers, ovens etc. I only got mine last week so its only had minimal use but so far I'm quite impressed, cleans the floors lovely and doesn't leave them soaking wet.

Only used it once so far, on old bathroom vinyl but had to drag it over it... there was no gliding and the cover kept coming off, must be doing something wrong:(
