    Hi guys,

I brought my eligibility form to the Social Welfare Office, it was signed and sent to JobBridge.

How long does it usually take to hear back from the social welfare office to say your payments will be sent to your bank account? And how did they contact you?

Im in a bit of a predicment...My internship starts monday week in Dublin and I am in Cork. I am due to sign on that week and collect payments and I am a little worried in case it hasn't been processed by then

Do i contact the SW office and let them know

even if i don't begin the internship that week i will have to go and find accomadation.

Will there be an issue with this?

    any info really appreciated

Noticed nobody replied to this so hope you got sorted.. but it takes a couple of weeks for the money to go into your bank account once you start your internship. If you're not available to sign on or collect your payment, go into the office or call them and tell them you can't sign on because you will be in Dublin. There should be no hassle as it's a fairly understandable situation.

You might just have to wait for your money a bit longer.

Your social welfare payment will immediately begin being paid into your bank account once you have been approved for the internship (this only takes a couple of days) however you will be two-three weeks into your internship before you will start receiving the extra €50 (it will be back paid).
