Out in the IFI this week.

Simple, emotional and pleasantly allegorical. Always nice to see a film where the directors (the Dardenne Brothers) are able to film individual scenes in one naturalistic shot :) No distractions - just a very engaging film. Really clever use of music too.

My favourite film of the past year or so - the directors are geniuses.

I'm not sure I'd agree it's allegorical - one of the reasons I loved it is because it was straight forward and not seeming to represent anything other than the story it was telling.

I think the last scene is the one that suggested there was another layer to the film for me. Id explain more but stuck on mobile!
