    Hi all,

Have a look at the attached pic please. Is the sensor marked in red the coolant temp sensor?

    Thanks,

Gonna need make, model, engine and year before anyone can even have a real guess (unless someone happens to recognise the set up)

    Peugeot/Citroen engine.

Yes that is the temp sensor.

They don't give a lot of trouble on them. What symptoms are you having that makes you suspect a problem with it?

Temp guage is hopping all over the place. Car is backfiring so running rich due to incorrect temp reading.

I have a brand new genuine sensor here that was bought in error. Cost €55 from Peugeot. Will take any reasonable offer on it if you have any interest in it.
