Anyone out there with Passive Slab installation experience. I'm interested to use it in a new build but hear different stories, the theory behind it is great the execution of it in Ireland seems to lack a bit of finesse. .

what is craig with this . ?

I did speak to the NSAI last year about these foundaitons systems - they were taking one of the systems through the process with the expectation of having it ready by last sept but I cannot as yet see it up on there site - have not followed up to see where it is in the process as I have gone strip foundaiton with a row or two of insulaiting blocks at the base of each wall

They are great when installed correctly but they are difficult to do for the first time. The key to a successfull installation is getting the hardcore base solid and as level as a pool table.
It can be interesting to see how off square some of the insulation sheets are! It kind of reminds me of slaters grading natural slate, sometimes the sheets need to be turned upside down or around to fit tightly.

As noted there are at least three companies touting this system. All I understand will supply the materials only or at least two will offer supply and install. I did receive prices recently.
