For vehicles up to 7.5t all you need is C1 licence.

You must hold B licence first. Pass theory test for trucks, apply for driving permit for category C1. And then apply for driving test and pass it.
    No obligatory lessons.
If you want to work as a driver, you will also have to do driver's CPC.

    Nope
Driver CPC certification is not required for drivers of vehicles used:
    • For non-commercial purposes, eg driving as a volunteer; drivers of emergency or rescue vehicles
    • For a registered RSA approved Driving Instructors who are giving driving instruction
    • In the course of someone’s work, provided that driving the vehicle is not the driver’s principal occupation, eg, a plumber using a light truck to transport their materials.
    • Vehicles with a maximum speed not exceeding 45 km/h

    Depends.
If you are using your truck just for carrying your building material, etc, you are exempt CPC.
If you are using your truck to haul a building material (or anything else) for someone else, then you need a drivers CPC and road haulage licence for your truck. To get this licence, you would need as well to pass an exam for transport manager CPC (completely separate thing to driver CPC) or employ someone who has it.

I assume you won't be really going for the second option, and therefore you won't really need driver's CPC.

    Same rule as for cars.
If you have a driver's permit, you can drive a truck provided there is a fully licenced truck driver accompanying you.

I'm not sure if you can carry any loads in such situation.
