Home teeth whitening for damaged teeth

My teeth are pretty discoloured. I can't afford professional whitening so want to just try some home whitening kits. My problem is my teeth are quite damaged from a past eating disorder, and while I want them to look better, even marginally by the mild affects of home kits, I want to know are the kits generally corrosive on the teeth? I am anxious of damaging them further.

Any recommendations for a gentle one or should I stay clear all together?

sounds like you may have sensitive teeth, does really cold drinks and ice hurt if it touches your teeth? i have this issue and the whiteneing gels make the teeth very sore and sensitive while using them..

im not sure houw much your budget is but from what my friends have said and my own experience with these kits the sell in the chemists for 30 - 80 euro they do not work, at least not noticeably enough..

you can make your own "whitening toothpaste" that will cost about 5 euro...

you mix some baking soda with some water into a little paste, then brush your teeth with it,a friend of mine did this and had great results, very noticeable after a week of doin it twice daily.. if you go to youtube you will see many videos explaining how to mix it right and brush it onto your teeth

also you should buy whitening toothpaste and use this, mayb after 1 year of using it you might see an increase in a couple of shades brighter if you stick at it..

if you really want a celeb white smile or just a nice bright white smile the only way to do it is to pay the dentists the 300 - 500 euro for the treatment
