Anybody know of an android Application that will let me track journeys made and fill ups for petrol / diesel so that i can add up when I made a journey and find out how much it is costing me in petrol. App will also be able to work out fuel efficency.

fuelio might be suitable for you, i use it to track the trip distance and fuel consumption.

edit - automatically tracks fuel consumption, price per km and can track location if you select that option.

i just use google latitude and a spreadsheet, plus the odometer in the car.

basically, every time i fill up i zero the odometer after taking a note of the distance since my last fill up, how many litres of fuel i've put in and the cost per litre and dial the numbers on my phone to save them in my call log, so i know that 400601599 in my call log is 400km travelled, 60L of fuel @159.9c per litre, with the date and time stamped in it automatically.

then every month or so, or whenever i remember, i just scroll through my outgoing call log and type the numbers into my spreadsheet and let it work out the mpg, cost of the fill and cent per mile.

i usually put in the garage i filled at (which is where the date and time + google latitude help, in case i've forgotten where i was) and and mechanical or service work i've had done on the car to see if anything is making any difference in the mpg.

"torque" on android is good if you want instant MPG or L/100km but you'll need an ODB bluetooth device to plug into your car's ODB connector.

Anyone could recommend one of the cheaper OBD 2 adapters off ebay that works with samsung galaxy s 2? I read that some of them work well and others dont.
