    Hey Guys

Quick question my sisters Ford Fiesta Fusion needs a new clutch but two mechanics have told her its a main dealer job. Is this normally the case? Ford are quoting €800 for this which in these recessionary time she is pushing her hard.

    Thanks

A main dealer job? lol. Get your car to any decent mechanic and they can sort it. I know the diesel ones are a bit tight for space but they are not impossible or a main dealer job.

    Lol is right!

    Is it petrol or diesel?

To do a clutch kit with concentric slave cylinder on a petrol costs around €450 in an independent garage.

Has your sister had work done with the other mechanics before and had to go back a few timew over it or anything? It kind of sounds like they dont want her business.

The auto in them is a robotized clutch, could be a dealer or a specialist job?
The same type of arrangement in the Smart roadsters needs to be adjusted on a rolling road or something I think.
