    Hi,

I've bought a T90, and plan to go from 28e to 5w. according to the wavefrontier calc website, I should be centering 11.6e (which is imaginary), but I've seen similar configurations where people center on 19e.

Centering on 19e or even 13e would be a lot easier since you have something to aim at, but wondering by doing that will it ever be right then.

    thanks...

    2 syboit:
Change your Western or Eastern satellite position manually to let calculator recalculate and get 13*E or 19,2*E directly in the middle of LNB-rail. I blogget somewhere instructions for tuning T90. If you need I can find direct link to that blog.

i set one up a few years ago, i've 28e to 12w setup on it at the moment (not every satellite but about 10 in total).

i extended the bar that holds the lnb's to get 28e. i centered on 1w which has worked ok for me. without the extended bar 19e would be my limit on the east side of the dish.

To install a T90 you start with 28e.:)

as documented on this forum, i have just installed a t90 going from 28.2e to 5.0w

i used the calculator at satlex.us and this told me to centre on 11.6e (which i did)

your concern about aiming the dish is misplaced. you cannot really aim the sucker. it is too big and awkward. all i could do was work out a rough direction by spotting a marker in the distance using a compass (well my phone actually) and then hunting from there

Folks! If calculator tells you to use imaginary satellite as your central why do not you ask calculator to make one of the real satellites to be directly on mark "0"? Do do that just fill one of the empty "user-defined orbital position" boxes and ask to calculate again. Of course, it is possible to tune T90 with imaginary satellite as a central one, but that could be "pain" especially for newcomer to toroidal field.
