    Hi
I am hoping to buy my son a swing for his birthday in the summer,
I want a playground type swing - solid made from big thick solid timber logs... big enough to hold a large adult too so we can all play on it
Do anyone know how to go about this? Ive looked in google but none of them look strong enough... :(

Timber Gate posts (225x225mm or bigger) would be ideal, various finishes and timbers available. Larch is extremely weather resisitant and very long lasting. A cheaper option would be to use pressure treated new pine sleepers.

Best thing is go to a decent timber yard and good builders providers. For some ideas look at www.cloneesawmills.ie
