    as in the title folks, can you tell by a visual inspection alone that your front /back discs need to be changed before you actually take the wheel of for further inspection?....thanks.

    You have to take the wheel off to see the disc anyway.
    You might be able to see a lip which would indicate wear but for a proper examination you need to take the wheel off.
    Its only 2 minutes work .

    If you know by looking through the wheel that the discs need replacing then they are really bad. Very often they can look fine on a quick visual inspection but upon closer inspection can be corroded and/or worn badly enough to be replaced.

    thanks lads, i`ll make a closer inspection and get a second opinion just to make sure..!
