I'm hoping someone can help me. I've an edision argus mini box but although can receive terrestrial channels, I can't get in any satellite channels in. Although I live in Laois the quality of satellite reception I get from Astra 28.3E shows Level at 0% and Quality at 5%. Is there something wrong with the satellite dish itself or am I just missing something easy.. Thanks for any help that anybody can offer. Anyone have similar experience

Have you ever been able to receive them with your current setup? Could be dish alignment, lnb / cable issue. Positioning of dish is always a likely cause.

    Yes dodzy..
had them until recently. A week or 10 days ago. Initially the problem started by all the channels being scrambled into different positions and then not being able to move stations to desired locations.. I'd go into 'Organising Services' and attempt to move stations but they never 'held' in the desired place. RTE1 would be channel 1 in the menu when you were doing a search in the 'Organising Services' menu but i reality it would be found as the 250th channel for example (with no way of correcting this).. And now as I was saying I cant tune in any british channels for example - all I have is the Irish Channels. You reckon it may be a dish alignment problem? But would I be able to receive the Irish channels if this was the case? Thanks for your help mate

    probably dish has been moved.
(Irish channels are received via the Aerial so are not affected by dish movement.)

As johnmac has said, uk and Irish channels are different with respect to how they are received. The position for the antenna used for the terrestrial channels is very forgiving. The dish on the other hand needs to be positioned accurately. Have a look and see if it looks out of position ( compare with a neighbours if possible ). If you know somebody with a FTA setup, you could just connect the Edison to their sat cable to prove the point.

for the op, have you another box to try on dish ie an old sky one, also check leads from dish to box, and do a factory reset etc.

for mcskull, here is a nice channel list to try BUT if you are not on maghera you will need to rescan the dtt ones. I use a motorised set up so a few extra sats but you can tidy yourself. its got favourites as well. have a play. no responisbility on my part.

its zipped and to upload it is shown as pdf, just rename it to zip and extract. nb this is a back up file so just select channel list. the software version i am using is 1.3.93, apollo 14.

    enjoy
