Eamon Gilmore doublespeak

Gilmore the great, says no extension to the household charge deadline. http://www.independent.ie/breaking-news/national-news/no-extension-on-household-deadline-3057672.html

But then again our hero also said "no more payments to bondholders". But he paid up.

So that means, Eamo doesn't really mean what he says. He just says stuff, which makes him look strong.

I suppose Eamo, and Big Philo, from Kilkenny will have quite a bit of humble pie to eat fairly soon.

No doubt, Enda, will let them both sink in their own pooh, and find some way of extending the deadline.

You link to the story/quote, yet you appear not to have even read what he said.
He didn't say "there will be no extension to the deadline".

He quite clearly said "there are no plans to extend the deadline".
That's does not mean the same thing at all. At all at all.

Infact, it means that he will extend the deadline if/when it becomes necessary. Political PR should be a leaving cert language.
