Didn't see a thread on this, but I watched the first episode of Touch on Sky 1 this even. Have to say I thought it was quite enjoyable, and will definately tune in next week for 2nd episode

I thought it was fantastic. Maybe I'm getting a bit sentimental in my old age, but I some of the scenes really tugged on the old heartstrings, in particular the part where
the guy sees his daughter's pictures in Japan
    .

Sadly, I'm assuming it'll go downhill like so many other shows of this type. But I'll keep watching.

well they have only shown 1 episode in America so far back in January
does anyone know when they are showing it properly as it will probably only be a day or 2 gap between here and there?

It was fairly good I thought but I'm not sure this can work long-term. I'll give it a chance.

I'll keep watching,it's very intriguing and I want to see where it is going.
The child actor who plays Jake has a great screen presence, captivating even though he doesn't speak.

    Roll on next week!

Glad to see Tim Kring did a better attempt at Ireland this time around, and actually got an Irish looking taxi. The black UK cab pulling up in Cork harbour in Heroes was unforgivable!!

Its got a lot of the same themes as Heroes, not a bad thing but it seems...slight?
Like an M. Night Shyamalan movie but without the sense of mystery he sometimes gets spot on. I said sometimes, don't all jump on me.

Great concept. Kiefar Sutherland brings an unreal intensity to fatherhood, Christ I wouldn't want to spill milk around him.

To be honest though, there was something a bit too far-fetched and hokey with the first episode for me. Like they bought into the whole idea of the son being psychic way too easily just to get to the action and intensity. Ease me into it for god's sake lads, I'm a cynical grown man not pre-disposed to making gigantic leaps of faith into strange ideas. I get that it's a pilot and they kind of need to show their hand but it hasn't grabbed me yet and I'm not optimistic about its chances. I'll give it another go though.

One thing which I found slightly distracting too was that every time a new character appeared on screen after a scene Kiefer was in, I automatically assumed they were a terrorist or about to get unwittingly caught up in a plot to end the world. Old habits and all that.

Is this show on a break? Haven't watched it yet, but it stopped recording on May1st on my UPC box at episode 7. Is it still going?

I'll have to get the exorcist in. I'd call UPC but the exorcist would be faster ;)
