Saw a guy with a trailer made out of a shoprt wheelbase Landy yesterday in Blackpooool Cork, was really good and only a shame he was pulling it with a Disco.

Fairly common in the UK and easy to do although I prefer to stick to military Sankey trailers. I've not seen that one in Cork.

There's some nice trailers around made from cars or vans, couple of Mini ones in this months IVS. The EU fun police will stop home made trailers eventually

Any thoughts/advice Sean as to what a Sankey trailer costs these days and where is best place to source ?

Toyed around with the idea for a while

    Sorry to change thread :p

Won't find many here and they tend to be rusty and over-priced. Best bet is from the North or go to either the MVCI show at the Curragh in May or the IMVG show at Naas racecourse in June, someone may have one.

Best ones are the later widetrack which have a tailgate, going rate for them in the UK is around £350 for a Mk3 disc braked one. The older narrowtracks can be got for £150 or so but can be very rusty. There was a glut of them, the MOD sold all their Sankeys out a couple of years ago and replaced them with ones that meet C&U regs and match the current vehicle's ride height.

The nicest trailer is the 1tonne Rapier trailer which I have but they go for a minimum of £600
