Party Playlist

Fellow Alt/Indiers, I have a task for you. My 21st is approaching this Saturday and I've been devising a playlist for the night. It's actually been great craic composing a list of tunes that really get me going. But alas, I'm in a bit of a sticky situation. Now, a lot of my friends are similarly musically inclined but the majority of them wouldn't be and suffice to say, I've been pretty self-indulgent so far in terms of song selection!

I'm not doing too badly thus far actually. While some of the tunes wouldn't be immediately recognisable, they have a lot of crossover appeal and are very danceable (see below for exhibit A.). Some of the selections are guaranteed to go down well regardless of personal tastes (got some Gorillaz in there, some Fatboy Slim; the hits basically) but, while I'm very keen to avoid the glut of MOR, plastic pop that seems to be earworming itself into the public consciousness at the minute (absolute shlock like Ed Sheeran, Jessie J and other such undesirables), I'm aware that I have to keep people satisfied.

    Exhibit A.

So basically I'm looking for dancefloor stonkers (your 'Last Nite'-s and your 'Take Me Out'-s) that would appeal to both crowds. Any suggestions?
