Not sure where to put this thread mods. Basically I use piratebay to download all my torrents. However, something has changed (magnet links) now and I'm unable to download from the site. Anyone else having this problem?

You need to upgrade your client to one that supports magnet links. The most recent utorrent works fine as does Transmission on Linux.

Sorry I didn't explain myself in my OP. My problem is my browser can't recognize the magnet link.

What browser are you using, you need to select "open with" locally (or in firefox - file types).

Sorry could you explain what I have to do in Firefox. I'm not the most technically minded person so bear with me

    In Firefox do the following:
    Go to:

    Tools
    Options
    Applications
    Find Magnet
    Under Action, select "use other"
Find µTorrent or whatever is installed on your computer
    Done

Opera handles magnet links out of the box.

You can use the portable version (Opera USB) if you don't want to install it.

Just want to add to this: People who should know better shouldn't be providing help on topics like this either.
