Having some problems with Megane

I have a 00 Megane 1.4. Lately I have been having some trouble starting the car, most days it starts no problem but some days it could take three or four tries to get it going . When I do eventually get it started it can cut out again like if I come up to a stop sign and have to slow down. The power in the engine also…

I have a 00 Megane 1.4. Lately I have been having some trouble starting the car, most days it starts no problem but some days it could take three or four tries to get it going . When I do eventually get it started it can cut out again like if I come up to a stop sign and have to slow down. The power in the engine also seems to go way down when driving on some occasions. The final problem is also when driving the car can give this jerk and the engine light and stop light will come on for a few seconds and then go out and it will drive away normally again.
