Redline was one of the better magazines (especially in the last year or so).

Renton was a sound lad to chat to.Met him a few times when over in the UK.

Maybe he knew something wasnt right, when he decided to jump ship.

The way things are going very little is being spent on the Genre the like of which Redline covered so I'd say it was harder and harder to get stuff for the magazine. I've been going to England very regularly the last 7 years and see less and less of modified cars there. Just back this morning after doing 1,980 kms around England in the last 6 days and its like here, I can count on one hand modified cars that I saw.

I can't think of any modified car mag in my local Easons now but its years since I bought any anyways.....we have grown up and those behind us haven't a job/disposable income there once was!

    There are plenty in easons.

    FastFord
Practical Performance Car => my choice
    ClassicFord
Racecar Engineering => not sure easons have this
    Couple of vw specific
    Couple Bmw specific
    Couple mini spicific

The old style of magazines with cruses, jordon with her baps out reviews of K&N filters and nasty kits are going the way of the dinosaurs.

These are the type I was talking about! Neither proper car mags nor proper porn mags!

i'm just after a mag that discusses power mods on engines, what people are doing and what results they get, etc etc.

Owners forums/clubs tend to be the best place to get that kind of information on a specific part.

Generally its hit and miss though depending on the owners club.

I still stand over PPC www.ppcmag.co.uk/
    Autospeed http://autospeed.com/
    http://www.racecar-engineering.com/
    http://www.build-threads.com/

I'm sure others have great technical resources also.

Above have a better standard of information as Readline did very little beyond bolt on breathing modifications and street spec coilovers.

If you miss baps i'm sure the internet can provide enough to make you go blind.
